Hi Group,
I will be attempting my first AK build, with a 74 kit and an Ace weld up receiver. I would love to build it up as an RPK 74, but I'm a little hesitant to drop $329 with K-Var for their 24" barrel. If I decide to go with them, woul I need to change out any other parts from the kit, like the gas system? Is there a cheaper source for RPK 74 barrels? Does anyone have any experience with these guns, as far as accuracy compared to regular barrel lengths?
