Selector tab not long enough to reach trigger

Used a Ace templet on one of the 80% polish receivers that come from Cope's. The selector holes where drilled to far back, Any suggestions?

Weld it up to lengthen the safety, grind to fit. Or weld up the receiver holes and relocate them to the proper spot.
