Just picked up an Arsenal Sam 7s a couple of weeks ago. I must say that quality is outstanding for an AK, plus I don't feel bad about shooting steel-cased lacquer-gumming foul-smelling urine russkie cartridges thru it.

No Ak yet, but I do have a pre-ban Type 56that came with a muzzle brake, ATI Dragunov stock & 35 shot pre-ban removeable magazine. I've since picked up a cheap bipod that screws onto the bayonet mount, a reciever cover that's got an intergral P-rail & a red-dot scope. Once my finances are better, I'll likely be picking up one of those Bulgys with the black plastic funiture. (Now, if only they had a Bulgy at my Friendly Local Gun Shop when I got the Type 56. The Romanian they had there was a SAR1 with the front sight listing about 30 degrees to port...

I have had several over the years. A Maadi (POS) and three Bulgarians. Wish I still had one of those. Currently I don't have any. I'm gonna get another one of those "Arsenal" rifles. A question for those who have had both - Are the Bulgarian rifles nicer than the American produced ones, or vice versa?

In the mean time, I'll proabably buy one from the "Angry Beavers" to play with. I've owned two AKs several years ago, but never really paid much attention to them. I like building from kits, and this will be a change.
