Can't....get.....Sesame Street jingle......out of my head!!!!!!
Now class....which of the parts in the following two pictures is not the same?
I am looking for all of the specific parts that make an RPK kit different from an AK kit.
And yes, I realize that I could simply match different looking things together, but I don't yet know what all of the pieces are yet.
Profs to k-var for the pics:

RPK parts (different or not on AK):barrel, bipod, buttstock. I think that's it. Both of these are for a milled receiver.

Same handguards?

I thought the RPK trunnion was different too. I thought the RPK receiver had bulges on the sides at the front to accomodate the trunnion.

Diff part:
Barrel
handgaurd(both upper & lower)
handgaurd retainer
front sight
gas block
buttstock
bipod
cleaning rod
rear sight
rear sight block
No trunnions as these are both milled rec. kits..
Thats about it!
ad that kit to a nice milled rec = one hell of a nice gun....

Just going from the pics, the barrel doesn't look bigger. I know it's supposed to be, so the gas block, front sight, handguard, handguard retainer, etc. would have to be larget to fit it.

Actually the uppper HG/Gas tube is the same for both rifles. You can also use the AK (non windage adjustable)rear sight if you were so inclined. The kits offered from K-Var are Bulgarian kits and the FSB has a larger ID than the Romy FSB. Everything else is the same size.

Ok, so now the fun part....if I wanted to build an RPK Using a regular ak donorkit, I would need to get:
barrel
FSB
gas block
rear sight (yeah, i could go without)
Butt
and bipod.
And trunnion if I planned on using a stamped recv......
hmmm.......
