Will .223 firing pins work in 308 rifles?
Are Galil AR firing pins interchangable with ARM firing pins?
Are Full-Auto firing pins interchangable with Semi-auto rifles?

There have been a few Galil firing pins. Most military 223 Galils have standard AK firing pins. Most semi auto Galils have spring loaded firing pins.I know the trigger parts of the 308 are different but I'm not sure about the firing pin.For a good 223 Galil bolt and spring loaded firing pin the Bulgarian 223 AK bolts from K-var work perfect in Galils. The 223's used standard AK trigger parts. The original 308 Galils had trigger parts modified to change the selector from Safe-Full Auto-Semi Auto to the FAL/G-3 type Safe-Semi Auto-Full Auto. This became confusing to troops in South America that were familar with the standard AK selector,so most 308 Galils were later made in standard AK Safe-Full-Semi configuration. The pivot point of the 308 Galil hammer was changed to improve(speed up) lock-time to match US Garand/M-14 lock time.
