Is it easy (possible) to swap a side-folder triangle for a side-folder standard stock?....
Anyone?

Can you define side-folder standard stock?

If you're referring to the 100 series stocks (triangle and polymer), then yes. Be aware however that Bulgarian and older Russian triangle folders used a 4.5mm hinge pin rather than the 5.5mm hinge pin the 100 series uses.

Want to change this out to a polymer side folder. Where can I get one?

. . . and to confuse matters further, K-Var sells a polymer AK-100 style stock that uses the 4.5mm pivot pin.

Heh that's crazy, but very fortunate for the OP inquiring about all this.
LetItBleed, it appears you have the 4.5mm hinge pin on yours. As nalioth mentioned above, this (http://www.k-var.com/shop/product.php?productid=16844&cat=283&page=2) may be what you're looking for.

Bingo! You cats are awesome. I just cannot get used to the "TWANG" reverberating through my cheekbone after only 150 rounds. I have considered wrapping the stock paracord or like, but settled on replacing it with a solid buttstock. Not crazy 'bout the $100 option.
Or, suggestions?

I've seen people install an SVD cheekpad to triangle folders, though it's probably going to screw up your cheekweld for iron sights. Seemed like it was more for using optics than anything (like the one in this thread (http://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.html?b=4&f=64&t=125025)).
$100 for a 4.5mm polymer folder doesn't seem that bad to me, but until 20 minutes ago I didn't even know they were made. You might be able to find one cheaper somewhere else, but good luck with that.

Optic sighting is my intended platform for this rifle. The cheekpads scream flimsy, I want durability. If that costs me $100 so be it.
Thanks Maxx.

Yeah if you're running an Ultimak /red dot combo I'd recommend going with the polymer stock.

I hope to be, currently I feel like I'm right on top of the optic but need to get behind it. A bit more LOP and I should be right on track.

Try posting a want to trade ad in the marketplace. There are a lot of people with poly folders who want to trade for a triangle.
