I need to know what is required to be stamped into the reciever, I think it's only a serial number but I want to be sure.
Thanks

Nope. Don't need to mark it in any way. The only reason you might want to put some stampings/engravings on it is to be able to ID it in case of theft.

Yep, what Mac said. Check out the ATF letter posted here (http://www.acmearms.com/80percentfaq.php). The marking requirements (or lack thereof) are detailed on the second page of the letter.

So do you guys put anything on yours? I got the stamp set but I'm not sure what to stamp on it.
My kit has matching numbers, could I stamp the reciever with the same number?

Hey buddie. Like the others are saying you dont need a serial number on a home build reciever. If i had for example a Amd-63. I would stamp the reciever AMD-63 and put whatever serial number you want underneath it. I thing that would look pretty cool. And if you every got stop bythe law with the reciever notstamp without some I.D. marking he might try to take it. A lot of Policemen would have no idea what the law are on home made reciever. This is just my opinion. :)
