The Saiga rifles are modified from the AK-74, and the gas tube interchanges with them. Only the AMD-65 and the Krinkovs have different gas tubes, because of their short barrels, as far as I know.

The AMD-65 had a short barrel, so they moved the gas block back further. The gas tube and gas piston are shorter than AK-47/AKM parts. (The SA2000 single-stack AK that was sold for a while was made from AMD-65 parts [or some were].) The upper hand guard is the same for them, but the gas tube is only about 3/4" longer that the guard in front.
